Survey Technician
Our Cleveland, Ohio (Strongsville) office is looking for a Survey Technician to support our growing survey department. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who likes being part of a team providing surveying services primarily for transportation, municipal engineering and land development projects both in the office and in the field.
Position Title: Survey Technician
Position Status: Full-Time
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience and/or training in land surveying or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel office software
- Ability to work outdoors under various field and weather conditions
- Willingness and ability to adjust to a flexible work schedule that may include overtime
- Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ideal candidates will also have:
- Knowledge of the principles, techniques and practices of land surveying and ground control
- Skills using conventional survey equipment, GPS, Robotic Total Stations, and Data Collectors
- Knowledge in technical software (i.e. AutoCAD, MicroStation with Open Roads Design)
The candidate will be responsible for performing various land survey tasks under the direction of a registered land surveyor or crew chief. This position requires both field and office skills. Field work will include boundary and topographic surveys and construction layout. Office work will include creating CAD maps from field data and mapping existing utilities and underground infrastructure from existing plans.

Civil Engineering Intern/Co-Op
Our Strongsville office is searching for a civil engineering student for an internship or co-op opportunity. The duties include assisting experienced engineers with basic design calculations, quantity take-offs, site visits, and reports. Projects include bridges, traffic, drainage and roadway improvements and/or surveying.
Position Title: Civil Engineering Intern/Co-Op
Position Status: Full-Time or Temporary
Minimum Requirements:
- Current status as a sophomore, junior or senior actively enrolled in an ABET accredited undergraduate civil engineering program.
The preferred candidate will be willing to learn as a dedicated team member and be self-motivated and willing to do a variety of entry level tasks to build expertise and confidence.
Bridge Project Engineer
Our Cleveland Area Office (Strongsville) is looking for a Bridge Project Engineer with Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) type design project experience. The candidate will be a self-motivated individual who likes being part of a team providing structural engineering support primarily for transportation improvement projects. Typical bridge projects include steel beam and steel girder, pre-stressed concrete box and I-beams, concrete slabs, 3-sided and 4-sided concrete box structures, and various prefabricated culvert shapes for clients including ODOT, counties, municipalities, and private owners. Design, evaluation, and inspection of structures from bridges to retaining walls are part of the workload. The selected individual will work closely with a group of highly respected structural engineers that enjoy mentoring future leaders in the field. This position is an opportunity for a Project Engineer to advance quickly to a Project Manager position.
Position Title: Bridge Project Engineer

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ Years of Bridge Engineering Experience
- PE in the State of Ohio
- Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with Structural Engineering Design Software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
The preferred candidate is a detailed oriented, critical thinker with a strong interest in structural engineering and a desire to advance their knowledge in the field through mentorship and additional training/coursework. The ability to visit project sites to make periodic field observations, meet with potential clients and subconsultants, and perform critical thinking in development, evaluation, and selection of standard engineering techniques and procedures is required. Prior experience in bridge inspection, bridge design, and load ratings is required.
Position Responsibilities:
- Active team member performing designs for various types of bridge improvement projects throughout the State of Ohio.
- Responsible for the technical performance on small to medium-sized projects.
- Coordinate and work with internal staff to perform field work, design calculations, plan preparation, quantity calculations, and submission to various clients.
- Prepare preliminary and detailed design plans, quantities, specifications, and probable construction cost estimates.
- Direct Design Engineers and Technicians assigned to the project.
- Perform critical thinking in development, evaluation, selection, and modification of standards engineering techniques and procedures.
- Interact with client and/or subconsultant contact regarding current design projects.
- May require periodic field construction observation and responding to requests for information during construction phase.
Salary negotiated based on years of service, expertise/capabilities, and specific project experience.
